Years ago when, I worked as a designer for the Firefighters Band recently renamed The Vancouver Firefighters Big Band and Vancouver Fire Rescue Services I was just starting my career as a photographer.

10 years have gone by and I have put my energy towards producing a still documentary called The Truth About Reading.

With my own research and a bird’s eye view to the work and the private life of the department, I was privileged to be able to assemble a collection of work I call “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”.

This summer 25 pictures from the collection were purchased by the Pump House Pub in Richmond, BC to complement their recent remodeling and menu makeover   The images are mostly from around the lower mainland but there are a few from out of town.

One day I hope to publish this collection but for now I am pleased that a portion has already made its way out of the box “Good things can come from the bad and the ugly”.
